Moving apps to a different partition

I origonally had win2k configured with multiple partitions, on a single
drive, some programs were custom installed to the other partitions - Dont
ask :( -, this was upgraded to winxp all has been fine for some years.
I'm considering new hardware and would prefer all apps on C, now I realise
the prefered method is to Clean Instal winxp and all apps, but the last time
I did this took nearly a week to reconfigure everything on this busy system.
So the question is are there any reccommended apps for moving programs &
updateing the registry?
I just want to avoid having to install everything from scratch.
I have mutiple data backups & Images, on seperate media, so I could simply
restore an Image if it all goes wrong

Even *if* such apps exist - given your particulars - most likely they would
not even come close to working.

How about just uninstalling the particular apps that are not installed the
way you want and installing those apps fresh - not a clean install of the
system - just of the apps with the situation you want to resolve...?

As with most Windows applications, you can not normally move the
"installed" version around since the all the installed controls will
expect the original installed location.

Besides, if you do start doing this, you will still risk having to
spend time tweaking the applications in order to make them work.

If you want / need to update the hardware but want to speed up the
process since the current PC is important, I would consider a complete
PC replacement. You can still use the older PC which setting up the
newer PC. Then, when the newer PC is completely set up the way you
need, use the Files And Settings Transfer (FAST) to send over your
data / settings to the new PC.
