I set up a database on my laptop and now want to move it to a coworker's
computer, where she would use it and control it. When I try to copy it to her
computer it transfers as read-only. How do I move the database with all
permissions and access to her computer?
Thanks.

How are you moving the database?

If you're burning it to a CD and copying it from the CD onto her machine,
you need to find the file in Windows Explorer, right-click on it, select
Properties from the context menu and uncheck the read-only flag.

If you're not using a CD as an intermediary, you'll have to provide more
details.

When you have moved or copied the programme, have you right clicked on the
programme and selected properties, then unchecked the read only check box if
that is ticked?

Otherwise, how are you copying the file?

I used a cd. When I right-clicked and opened the properties I was able to
uncheck the read-only box--it was grayed-out when I checked the properties
before. Sorry for the dumb question, but thanks very much for your help!
