Hi
I moved our access database to a new server. I changed the command buttons
could to the new drive letter. I ran the repair and compact. Not all user
on the network can now use the database properly. It seems to stil
reference the old drive. Is there something else to try to update th
database. I am currently using Access 97

Thanks
Terry

I put a re-link option in the code in the DB, so the user (or admin) can,
from the user's machine, locate the backend database and the code relinks.
There's sample code in the Developer Solutions database that is included
with your Office 97 Pro or standalone Access 97. Topic: use multiple
databases, Subtopic: relink tables at startup.

I can think of a few reasons why _some_ users mightn't have access to the
backend: they didn't get a copy of the revised database, they don't have the
full set of permissions on the folder where it now resides, or for some
reason, not all the code was changed in the copy they are using.
