Movies in PowerPoint 2002

I am trying to get a lecture put together that includes a
movie clip in the middle. Why will it only play on mine?
This is a VERY big problem. Can anyone help?
 
You also must take the movie to the other system and ensure that the links to it
are not broken.

It all depends on the movie file format and the codec it uses - it also
depends on which codecs are installed on the other systems.
