Movies I made with WMM can't be viewed on other people's machines

I made a movie with Windows Movie Maker from a dozen or
so clips off my digital camera (Canon A70), some digital
pictures, and some MP3 music files. It plays fine on my
Media Player, but I saved the movie to a disc and gave it
to my friends, and when they try to play it, the music
plays but not the visual video. They have Windows XP
also, so I'm a bit baffled. Also, I tried watching it on
my computer from the disc I made, and it works fine.

What is it that I'm doing wrong???? I would greatly
appreciate any help... I spent a lot of time making this
movie for them, and I really want it to work.

Thank you so much!
Casey

Has your friend run the upgrade for WMM. It probably
contained some new codec that can't be viewed w/ the
original (Don't know, used it once and hated it!)

Oh, he's trying to watch it on Windows Media Player. Do
you have to run WMM to view it? I watched it on my Media
Player and it worked fine.

So do you need WMM to view it?? My friend was trying to
watch it on his Media Player. I watched it on my media
player and it was fine.

From the ATI web site:
---------------------------------------------
Difficulties playing captured MPEG-2 videos
When attempting to playback an MPEG-2 file either through the ATI File
Player or a 3rd party media player (such as Windows Media Player) one of the
following may occur:
a.. video plays but no audio is heard
b.. audio plays but no video is seen
c.. ATI File player displays a message stating it can't open the video
clip
d.. Windows Media Player displays the message "unable to locate codec"
To properly decode and playback an MPEG-2 encoded video you must install
MPEG-2 decoder software.
For ATI graphics cards which come with ATI's DVD Player software, the best
choice is to install the ATI DVD Player.

When the ATI DVD Player is installed an appropriate MPEG-2 decoder is
installed which can be used by the ATI File Player and other media player
applications to play back MPEG-2 encoded videos.

If your ATI graphics card does not support the ATI DVD Player, or if you are
using an ATI TV WONDER, a third-party DVD solution should be used.

When using a third-party DVD solution the method you would use to play back
an MPEG-2 encoded file will vary. For some DVD Player programs the MPEG-2
file may need to be loaded into the DVD Player program itself. In other
cases the DVD Player may install decoders which can be accessed and used by
other media player applications such as Windows Media Player. Please check
the documentation for your DVD Player software for details on MPEG-2 file
playback support.

I have the same problem. Fixed with the following for me.
