Are the PC/firewalls setup to play or allow it?

I already turn off the firewalls to test the avi in my PC. it still didn't
work.
do I need to change the setting of iis or somewhere else?
what is the probably reason that the avi can't play in other pc?

What happen when try, and what are the error messages, if any when you play your file?

Can you view the following file:
http://www.ycoln-resources.com/Help/SIZEWIN.AVI

This is not some thing that you can control from the server. The user must have the codec plug in
that was used in the making of the AVI file installed, See:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;316992#16

You might want to consider convert the file to a mpeg format.

I can view the file you provide.
I try to add avi, mpeg, wmv in to my website through frontpage. all of them
can't play in my pc.

message is different from different files type .
I list the error message below

error message of wmv = the system can't find the specify path
error message of mpeg and avi = there are no video file in the server

The Windows Media Player on the server has no impact on the display of web content. There is no
version 8. If running Windows 98 SE or higher, install WMP 9.

Is it possible for you to provide a URL to this page on the internet?

Also you might consider posting the Windows Media newsgroup, as the issue my just be with your local
machine and not with your web page.

They won't work because they are pointing to your desktop PC for the file
<param name="URL" value="C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\newcompany\³¹¥ß¥Á_001.wmv">

File Import the .wmv into your FP web site and the re-link to it
