MovieMaker support for Media Center Edition?

Does anyone know if the next version of MM will support the TV files
recorded by Media Center Edition? If not, can we add that as a feature
request? Thanks!

Hello there,

There was an update to media player not so long back so that it could play
the files.....I'm not sure what the update actually did as I had already
played such a file on my system.
 
I can play them fine. Supposedly with the free DVREdit program, I can even
remove commercials. But if I want to burn to DVD, it's gotta come out of
that DVR format. Apparently it's MPEG2 with an outer wrapper that contains
the TV program data. So it shouldn't be too hard to make MovieMaker read it
either...

Thanks for the links - nice site...it'll take me days to read it all <g>.
Looks like the Sonic MyDVD is anywhere between $50 and $100. I downloaded
the free version of the other program. Also I have the ArcSoft program, just
haven't had a chance to try it yet. Sounds like I'll eventually get there.
