I've used MM happily several times through 2005/06. This time, the capturing
video process has not created several clips corresponding to separate scenes
in the video. Just one e.g. 10 minute clip instead of 10 or more. I do have
the "create clips for video files" option selected (it's a default anyway). I
also tried changing from one clip post facto per MM instructions by right
clicking on the video in the Collections panel and selecting "create clips".
Same result: just one clip. My MM (2.1 I think) came as part of XP Service
pack 2 installed by Dell. I've been trying to get a solution from them for
the past week: no further forward. Latest they told me today was that's what
MM does: captures just as one clip then you split it manually using the
preview panel. Rubbish! Never had to do that before and not what Microsoft MM
"how to" guide says. Any ideas?
