MovieMaker 4 to Plextor DVD burner

I have just loaded MovieMaker 4, did all the updates, have a working
Plextor burner with all updates, a fast desktop with lots of RAM.

When I try to place the captured video onto the DVD, it freezes the
computer.

Any words of wisdom?

what brand of Movie Maker is it? the Microsoft Windows XP Movie Maker is at
version 2.1

It is not Movie Maker, but Movie Factory4 by ULead

Does the video play in your Media Player?
Try importing a different video into Movie Factory to see if it freezes then
we will know if it is Movie Factory or a problem with the video.
