I use XP home SP2 and made lots of videos with MovieMaker. 2 years ago I
transfered lots of Super8 films to mpegII files on a DVD and the MediaPlayer
9/10 was able to play it without any trouble. Yesterday I tryed to play it
again with MediaPlayer 10 but I got the error that codecs are not found. I
tryed to import the
mpegII files by MovieMaker (MM) but the MM doesn't play it. When I use "make
clips" it doesnt work. What I have to do that MM makes clips? Is MM not able
to import and play mpegII files and make clips?

Dear Mr. Inzer,
thanks for your fast reply. As you read my 1st posting, the MediaPlayer 9/10
was able to play the mpeg files. How I can add plugins for MediaPlayer 10?
Can the MediaPlayer 11 play mpeg files better?

The problem will be definitely codecs as the computer that encoded the Mpeg2
file has a codec yours doesn't to view it in Movie Maker on the new machine.

An Example is I have some AVI files that do not play on my laptop under
movie Maker unless I install the Panasonic software that created them. Then
Movie Maker is very happy to deal with them.
