Kimberly

I just downloaded the windows movie maker winter fun
pack. I installed it successfully, and was playing around
with it when I discovered that after I complete each
project, I cannot save the movie.

I can save the "project" *.mswmm file to 'my videos'
folder; however, when I am completed with creating the
movie project and would like to save it to 'my computer,
recordable cd, email', etc. as a completed movie format -
I receive the following error "Windows Meovie Maker
cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify
that the original source files used in your movie are
still available, that the saving location is still
available, and that there is enough free disk space
available, and then try again."

None of these errors apply. I definitely have the
original source files and have even experimented with
saving them to different files and recreating the movie
using new folders. I have also cleaned up temp space
(although not needed) as a chance resort. I have PLENTY
of disk space.

In the event that I was wrong (I have 6GB free space)...
I have tried things like my email(lotus notes so plenty
of space and I have no size regulation on email size). I
have tried saving the movies to a bland disk... No matter
what option I use, I get the same above error.

My hands are up in the air and I wave the white flag... I
am normally a very techy savy person, as that is my role
in the career world... I don't often have time to "play"
but, thought I would today... The fun pack is currently
not fun.

Anyone have any suggestions to return the "fun" back to
this pack and help me save an xmas video I created to
send to family?

Any help would be appreciated... Thanks!.

Hi Kimberly,

Check the version of QASF.DLL on your computer.... if it's version 6.5, you
need to get it to version 9.

PapaJohn!

Thanks. I will give that a shot sometime this weekend....
with my hours... freetime is not common... but, I am
determined to get this done in the near future as I would
enjoy something fun... Thanks. I will let you know how it
goes... again.... thanks ! :)

Well, PapaJohn did it!

I am making videos and saving videos. I had to also
upgrade to Windows Media Player version 9, but, that is
no bad tradeoff...

I am most pleased to be able to use this software.

Thanks PapaJohn...

Your site rocks!
