I have a problem with the speed of the movie that I am trying to put on a
powerpoint presentation. When I converted the file initially from youtube it
was in a Divx + Mp3 format and it loads onto powerpoint fine, except it is
playing really fast. Have any ideas?

Likely a codec issue. PowerPoint relies on the Windows media components. It
will either play the movie using Windows Media Player (wmplayer.exe) and
the older native Media Player (mplay32.exe). The following article explains
how PowerPoint decides to play the movie -

ta/html/odc_PP_PlayMedia.asp

Try playing in Windows Media Player (wmplayer.exe) and see if you still get
the issue. If not, see how it plays in Media Player (mplay32.exe).

If it only has the problem in mplay32.exe you could insert a Windows Media
Player control and use that to play the movie in PowerPoint instead. The
steps for each version of PowerPoint is here:
