I have made my little video with pictures and music but when I tried it on other people's computers it won't play at all. They have the same system as I do but it will not work? Any suggestions??

If you use explorer to navigate to the cd can you see its contents ok?
If so what happens when you double click on the movie file?

Hello There,

Based on the assumption that you used Movie Maker to create the video the
problem is very likely to do with what version of Media Player and DirectX is
installed on the other machines.....

Movie Maker uses the tools from Media Player Version 9 and DirectX Version 9.
Both of these are obtainable vie a standard windows Update across the internet
from Microsoft.

John and digit, thank you for the advice. I don't understand why it won't play in others sytems when they have the very same system I do. I can take the cd and play it in mine and it opens with windows media player. Theirs doesn't even recognize there is a cd in the drive. And one person, it will open to the very first picture and freeze up. I only have a little over a week to get this working right so any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you again.

Hi there,

The one that will not recognise that a CD is present has hardware installation
problems at a guess, or is it the case that it recognise's that a CD (any CD
that is) is present, and in the case of your CD does not know what to do with
it. If yes then right click the CD drive in My Computer and adjust its
properties.

The one that freezes up needs to update his system as previously described to
Windows Media Player 9 and DirectX 9 I still suspect that the first one also
needs to do the update.

TAKE NOTE Tinkering with the settings will not persuade either of these systems
to play your CD if they do not have the updates as described above. BUT, it may
well render the system unable to play any media at all!!! Don't Fix It if it
aint broke, just upgrade it.
