Movie will not play untill i pass it and come back

I have inserted a movie into PP2003 and it will not play until I go past the
slide the movie is in and then come back to it. If i do this it plays while
I am in slideshow format. If I leave slideshow and come back to it later, it
still will not play until I go past the slide and come back to it again. Any
suggestions?
