Movie plays only after forwarding a slide then coming back to it

In Powerpoint I can't get the inserted mpg movie clip to play on a click
until I go to the next slide, then go back and click on the movie window again

Thanks for this - I have the same problem - your comment at least helped me
play a movie. The same presentation works perfectly well on 2 other
computers, but not on my Dell 8200. Any help appreciated.
