Movie not working

We have been inserting a few movies into PowerPoint 2007 presentations . We
have noticed that when the presentation and related embedded files are saved
on the desk top, or on a USB stick the power point, movie and embedded files
all work.

However, when we save on the network the movies and embedded files do not
work.

My question is: To have a movie work within a PowerPoint presentation is
there a maximum number of "file paths" it can go through before it won't
work?

Thank you in advance.

The maximum path length (including the filename) is 128 characters. To be on
the safe side, do not use more than 100 characters.
