We have a sony digicam and I have downloaded the film to
the computer and onto a disc. When I play it back,
either on the computer or dvd player, no sound comes out
and yet I can hear it while it is downloading from the
camera. Can anyone help me please.

How did you capture your video? Did you use MM2? Try capturing it again into MM2 using DV-AVI setting and make sure that the audio imported with it. Since the camera playback audio is okay, I suspect that you will find a problem with the camera if it cannot send it to your PC along with the video. Try another connector cable, check the camera connection, etc. By the way, it's tape not film.
