Can I burn of DVD from a movie maker file to be played at home on DVD player?

Only if you have a Media Center Edition PC.
If you do not see the "Save to DVD" option then you can't save from WMM to
DVD.
Even if you do have the option you are better off saving it to your
harddrive and importing the video into a DVD Authoring program. For more
