Movie Maker wil not run

When I try to start Movie Player I get a small box that
Has " X unspecified error" without the quotes. I have
uninstalled it and reinstalled it and even installed
Movie Maker 2.0 with the same result!

Hardware
AMD Dual MP 2000 + Processors
1 Gigabyte ram
ATI Radeon 64 Meg
AC97 Sound

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
