Would someone tell me what the newest Movie Maker version is. My son may
have downloaded and installed an older version thinking it was newer. My MM
shows:
Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519: service pack 2)
Windows Movie Maker Version 2.0.3312.0

I keep seeing reference to version 2.1, and am thinking he installed version
2 over version 2.1. If he has in fact installed an older version over a
newer version, what is the correct way to install the newer version back on
my computer? Also is there enough difference between the two versions to
install the newer version (in your opinion). I see reference to version 2.1
in the SP-2 installation. My computer came with SP-2 installed, so am
wondering what problems I will run into if I re-install SP-2. Thanks to all.

==================================
The most current version of Movie Maker
for Windows XP is 2.1. WinXP SP2 includes
Movie Maker 2.1.

Reinstalling SP2 should update Movie Maker.
(after re-installing SP2, you may have to re-
download updates from Windows Update)

What can I do if I upgrade to Windows
XP SP2 and Windows Movie Maker 2.1
is not installed successfully?
