Movie Maker unable to capture VOB format.

I am very new to the video editing world, but I have been unable to get video
from my Sony DVD camcorder into Movie Maker. I believe the DVD is finalized
into a VOB format. Do I need to upgrade Movie Maker, download Codex?, or buy
a converter????

VOB is a specific type of MPEG2 of which WMM is not compatible.
