movie maker to powerpoint

I want to use clips from my movie in a powerpoint presentation, but PP
doesn't seem to accept the moviemaker format for importing. Can I save the
movie file as something else? Has anyone tried this kind of import into
powerpoint?

Yes, I wanted a scrolling page in a presentation, so I used the Title
facility in MovieMaker to create the scrolling text and background that I
wanted, on just a one-clip project, then saved the movie to My Computer as a
..wmv file.
In Powerpoint, I used Insert>Movies & Sounds>Movie from file, and picked up
the .wmv from where I had saved it, and dropped it in.
The only thing I couldn't get it to do was to start scrolling as soon as I
opened the slide, I had to click manually to activate it, but that was just a
Ppt animation issue I guess - the movie ran fine in itself.
Hope this helps
