Hi,

When recording in Movie Maker 2 is it possible to have
the audio being captured played through the speakers? The
audio is captured fine to the finished file but because
the camera is located away from the PC, I need to be able
to hear what I am recording?

I dont know if it makes any difference but I have a Sony
TRV33E connected by Firewire.

Cheers,

Mark.

ON your MiniDV you should have a cord that came with it
that you would normally use to hook up to your tv or vcr
enabling you to view what you have filmed. This cord
should have a yellow, white and red "RCA" jacks on one
side. If you use this connector and plug the red and
white (for sound) jacks to your PC's sound in (you may
need an adaptor if your sound in is a 1/8 in instead of
RCA inputs or sometimes called composite in's)you will
get the sound to come through your speakers and be able
to hear it while capturing. The key hear is finding what
input (usually on the back of your PC) is the audio input.
Note: if you need an adaptor for this cord just ask any
Radio Shack store(I do not work for them by the way, this
is not a plug) for a cord that allows you to record from
your tape deck to your PC and then you will need 2 RCA
adaptors or sometimes called "couplers". If you need I
can get you a picture and diagram of how to hook it up as
long as I have picture of the back of your pc.
