Movie Maker Problem

I saved a large Movie (21 minutes) with audio to my
computer. When I play it back on Windows Media Player,
the video clips stop playing about 60 % in, but the audio
continues the end.
Can anyone help?

A clarification question;
while the video's playing - before it reaches the point where video stops -
is video and audio in sync? Everything's okay until 60%, and then what - the
image freezes, the video slows down, the screen goes black?

Had the same problem. None of the suggestions given by PapaJohn and others
have helped. PapaJohn's site does not seem to address this problem. Someone
must have the answer.

Anyone at Microsoft lurking out there? Come on Bill, we know you can fix
this... :-)

Yes we do lurk :-). The original problem mentioned below should be fixed in
Windows MovieMaker 2.1 that comes with Windows XP SP2.

The problem is still there. I have downloaded mm2.1/xp sp2 and cannot burn
this short movie to a cd (20minutes). It doesn't work!!!

Have you tried publishing it just to a local WMV file does that work? Is
your problem that the burn doesn't finish or that it finishes OK but the
video freezes at a certain stage when you play back the video on the created
CD?

I am experiencing a similar problem - but run into the "no picture"
trouble even in preview mode.

Have imported about 50 still images (MS Picture IT PNG format) and mp3
music. Looks fine in timeline view - try to preview and get audio
only. Save it as movie (wmv or avi) on hard disk and get audio only.

I am running XP SP2, I do have version 2.1.4026 of the Movie Maker.

Is there a resolution - or at least a description of what is causing
the problem?

Thanks,

Karen Wheeless

Thanks Dean. What I did was save it as a wmv file (about 300mb) and then
burned it to a disk. I was trying just about anything because I was headed
out to California to present the movie at a wedding. I literally was burning
the disk as my ride was putting my suitcase in the car. Didn't sleep a wink
that night but sleep a few minutes on the plane.

Thanks for writing back!
