Movie Maker Missing Files

I have spent 40+ hours putting together a movie for my Daughter's Baseball
team and need to hand them out in 2 days! I went to finally "save" the movie
and put into a movie format (this is my first movie attempt). After about a
1/2 hour process of saving the system tells me it cannot save and "some
source files are missing". Microsoft's troubleshooting website says "To find
a missing file, click the missing clip in the collection or project pane,
click Edit, and then click Browse for Missing File."

The problem is, that no matter what I click on, the option to click on
"BROWSE FOR MISSING FILE" is never an option. I can see it's there, but it's
faded. What in the heck do I need to do to get that to be an option so I
know what file is missing so I can finish this movie! Help!

Help! I'm running out of time! I have looked at as many websites and
trouble shooting sites as I could find and nobody seems to have my issue
posted. Microsoft wants $200+ to help me and Dell wants the same. I'm
desperate!

I can't help with the missing files problem but I would suggest you get a paper
bag and breathe deeply into and from it for a couple of minutes to stop the
hyperventilating.

Your desperation is a product of not knowing priorities.

This is just a movie for your daughter's baseball team.

If you will be getting a vast amount of money for the completed project in order
to pay off the house mortgage, ignore the above and light a few candles.

Gord,

I am getting no money for the movie. I am simply attempting to do something
nice for a bunch of 12 year old kids by giving them some memories of their
summer on a DVD for them to cherris for years to come. Thanks for nothing.

You may have some incompatibility issues
with your source files. Have a look at the

You're right

It wasn't very nice and I apologize to Fun Tracy and all who I offended.

An uncharacteristic post from this end.

Gord

Apologies for the seemingly harsh comments.

Your efforts are to be commended.

The bunch of 12 years olds will still cherish the memories even if the movie
project is a couple of days late.

MAYBE I'M MISSING THE POINT HERE, HOWEVER DID YOU USE TRANSITIONS AND EFFECTS
IN MOVIE MAKER. THERE SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WHERE THESE FILES ARE BEEN
DELETED, MAYBE BY CLEAN UP UTILITIES OR CORRUPTED IN MOVIE MAKER 2.SO IF YOU
USED TRANSITIONS THAT WERE MISSING FROM THE PROGRAM AND UNAVAILABLE THEN
SAVING YOUR PROJECT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE. DON'T USE MOVIE MAKER FOR IMPORTANT
FILES AS ITS UNRELIABLE. LET MICROSOFT KNOW AND MAYBE THEY'LL GIVE A FIX FOR
THE PROBLEM. AVSMEDIA.COM MAKE SOME FINE VIDEO EDITING TOOLS.GOODLUCK
