I am living in Mexico, so cannot get regular help, am old-
ish, more just a user than a geek! Help!! I am trying to
make a movie with audio & video. Can make the CD movie,
but can only play it on computers that have WIN Video
Player installed. Have tried 4 different home type CD/DVD
players around here with no luck Is this an endemic
problem? Is there a way around this? I am trying to do
this for a dive business & am totally stuck. Can't just
go out & keep buying players until I find a compatible one!
Am using all digital camcorders, so no problem with analog
conversion. someone help please?? Thanks Vern

Movie maker makes a wmv which is pc only. You will need some extra software
to enable you to make a more compatable vcd. Try looking for the likes of
TMPGenc on the net. Also have a search of www.papajohn.org where you may
find other recommendations.

Hi, Vern,
I'm Boris from Tver, Russia.
My viewing of your problem is that you HAVE TO USE
WinMediaPlayer when you have movie made with MM1 or MM2.
The version of it must be 9, 8, or 7 with upgrade.
Also, your operation system must be Windows XP, or Win2000.
The problem of being sticked to WinMediaPlayer under WinXP
is global, regadless to your location.
Best wishes,
