I was on a trip for 4 weeks - home now and put together the
video/pictures with MSFT Movie Maker.
I compiled my timeline and the timeline showed 1:15 min of avi video/
jpg pictures . I then clicked on "create on my PC " ( or something
similiar = save as wmv file on my PC) and it projected about 445mb and
800 minutes to finish !
I have a 2ghz cpu with 1gb of memory and closed all other apps ( I'm
writing this offline since no NAV nor nic enabled right now).
I figured it would go down as it progressed. We went to dinner for a few
hours - home now and still showing 167 minutes left. The process is
using 99 % of CPU time - so far has used 2 hrs 45 min of CPU time. What
can
possibly take this so long. Is this typical ? or is " Something wrong
with my setup" ?
I'm gonna let it run since it's so far into it, but what are my
options ?
I have Nero 7 ( has video record options - Vision, Recode etc)
Rather than wmv file, and since it's already in avi format ( which means
nothing to me), it any other public program better // quicker to use ?
Just finished - 5:15 of CPU time later
Then made the wmv into a DVD via Nero7 - took 98 minutes.
Thanks for any input/ pointers/links.
