movie maker capture

I cannot close one movie to make another movie. I can
choose other movies. Once I caputure one the program
looks like it is capturing another movie but... it
dosn't. Please Help
 
Not to sound flippant, buy Premiere, it's well worth it. I assume your capturing from a miniDV?
