Movie maker and movie making programs

everytime I try to load a program to make movies, movie maker, sonic, and show biz .
the computer starts to install a program called "MGI videowav 4" It them gives an error "missing the partNumber file".

When I hit ok it appears to finish installing, but I have my doubts as when I try to make a DCD it takes a long time to process and then hangs up.

Can anyone help me please.

Can you try to be abit more specific about what you are doing and what
errors occur when.

I thought I was clear. It does not matter which program I try to load, "movie maker", "sonic My DVD", or "show biz" . The computer always starts to install "MGI videowav 4" It always gives an error "missing the partNumber file". when I hit "OK" it appears to continue installing and finishes. but when trying to make a movie it just stops after three hours or more and does nothing.

I know I have repeated myself but thatt's what it is doing.

Unfortunately I'm still confused.

Are you trying to load a program.... Install it?

Are you trying to load a program........ Start it?

Trying to load a program.......load a movie in to a program?

I'm thinking from what you ar saying you are trying to start a program, say
Movie Maker, but when you start it up, the pc tries to install videowave. Is
this right? Does videowave show up in the add/remove programs, and can be
unistalled?

Now you are at making a movie and 3 hours later it just stops. What stops?
What have you done with what program?

Seems like Roxio's VideoWave software is acting like your default video
ending software, but has a problem and is interfering with your other
software.

If you need it because it's your DVD burning software, try reinstalling
it.... if you don't use it, try going into your Control Panel and removing
it.

Maybe it came with your DVD burner as a limited time period trial version
and passed it's time limit.... I'm guessing.
