Movie Maker 6 Vista second half of DVD goes black

Hi all

My children have spent months putting a home movie together but now have hit
a snag. When burning it to DVD, the second half of video and sound goes
black, until the credits at the end? The first half (12 minutes) is fine and
I don't think there are anything other than regular video and mp3 formats on
the Moviemaker.
I have spent hours looking for responses online but nothing seems to apply.
Any solutions gratefully received asap as they want to show it at a family
gathering in a few days!
