Movie Maker 5.1

My son just buit me this computer and it has XP pro and movie maker. When I
view "what about Movie Maker" it says I have version 5.1 at the beginning and
mentions version 2.1 at the bottom of the message.
Do I have the latest version or is 2.1 newer? Is so can you separate voice
over and background music? I can't on the version I have.

You have the latest version.

Ignore mention of 5.1 that is the version number for windows itself.

And yes Movie Maker has only one music track; to combine two audios you have
to make movie with one; then bring the result back to MM and do the second
track.
