I'm running MM2 on a Pentium 4 (1.7 MHz), 256K ram, 40 GB hard drive (18 Gb free), under Win XP Home Edition. I downloaded Movie Maker 2.0 recently to replace version 1.0 that came on my computer.

I've used MM2 for about one week and created 2 slideshow/videos with about 30-50 pictures each. Then on my next project of less than 20 pictures I began to have problems with Movie Maker 2. The problems (so far!) are (1) system lock-ups at various points in the development process--sometimes after adding an effect or transition, sometimes after moving a slide, once after saving the .msmm file; (2) sound tracks won't play in preview even after they had played successfully for a while; and (3) deletion of my "Collections" file.

To work around (1) I have to "End Task" and restart MM2. For (2) I have to reboot my computer. And for (3) I have to recreate my collections and cry a lot! (I think I've finally learned how to back up the collections file now.)

What should I do to avoid these problems?
