I am having the worst time trying to figure out how to
import the audio portion of my video from my camcorder.
The video comes across perfectly--but have tried
everything with the connections and cannot figure out what
to do. The camcorder is new--it has 1 "S" output, 1 "V"
output (RCA type) and 1 "A" (RCA type) output. I am using
the connection device that comes with the Dazzle Digital
Video Creator 80 so I can connect to my computer because
that is the only thing I could think of that would
interface with a USB cable. Does anyone have a clue--
certain not a hardware issue--I have a new computer fully
loaded with everything. Everything else works fine--I can
import music and narrate but the audio on the video
transfer does not work. Probably obvious but I cannot
figure it out.

Have you tried connecting the audio cable to the line in on your soundcard?

If the camcorder has a USB interface, both audio and video should 'travel'
down the same cable... but ensure it's USB2.0, USB1.1 really isn't fast
enough to import without frame dropping. If it's a new PC, it really should
be USB2.0.

The obvious thing that I was missing: In the video capture wizard, on the
left hand side, there's a slider that says "Input Level". If you leave it at
the bottom, you don't get any sound. ;-) (You also have to correctly choose
your input device.)
