Has anyone else had an issue where Movie Maker just
closes out as soon as you try and click on a transition
or effect? I can't even make a movie because when try
and select any effect or transition the program closes
out.

This has been answered so many times that those of us who frequent this
group are sick of seeing it asked. Of course, you are using the absolutely
horrible Web interface to access this newsgroup, so you cannot easily search
or sort the posts.

I recommend two things:

visit www.papajohn.org and then visit the troubleshooting link on the
left...your answer is there, and it is easy to fix. Be sure to come back to
this newsgroup and give him a kind word of thanks...his website is a labor
of love and he should be reminded often that we appreciate his efforts.

Secondly, if you are going to be using the newsgroups, which are an
invaluable source of peer support, use a news group reader such as Forte
Free Agent
www.forteinc.com
or you can use the news reader that is included in Windows...Outlook
Express.
the web interface will not allow you to view posts by threads, does not
allow an effect search, and is not terrible user friendly.

The Google newsgroup web interface allows one to view articles by
thread, although it's still not very user-friendly.
