I am having problems saving my project (230mb) as a movie onto CD and my computer. The save movie screen completes, however after about 12 minutes of playing the movie (15 minutes long in total) the frames freeze on one picture but the sound continues to the end of the movie. This means I am missing the last few minutes of pictures but getting the sound! Please help... have looked everywhere for ideas!

It could be a codec issue as it gets to a particular clip on your timeline.
What kind of clip is it freezing at?

Each time I try to save it as a movie the clip it freezes on is not the same as the clip it froze on for the previous save! Each clip it freezes on is about 75% of the way through the whole move. Most of the movie is made up of JPGs and each time it is a JPG that it freezes on.

Check the info on the Problem Solving > Can't Save a Movie page of my
website.

If you can save it OK as a DV-AVI file, but not as a WMV, then maybe the
QASF.DLL version!!!

As a matter of interest do you have a bunch of transitions between the
images? Also try Papa John's suggestion of publishing to DV-AVI first and
see if that solves the problem. If so you can then reimport the file and
publish out to WMV if you so desire.

To do this, when you're on the Movie Settings page choose "Other Settings"
and select DV-AVI from the list (if Other Settings isn't visible then click
"Show more choices...").

Then play back the resultant file and see if it's OK. If so then import that
file back into MovieMaker (you want to turn off the "Create clips for video
files" option at the bottom of the Import dialog so you just get it as one
clip). Then drag that down to the timeline and republish it as WMV with your
chosen profile.
