Hello!

I've compressed a bunch of quicktime movies into .m1v mpegs (using
apple's ffmpegx shareware), and am unable to import them into a slide in
Powerpoint 2003 (which is on a Centrino laptop). However, when I try it on a
Dell laptop with Powerpoint 2002, there are no problems. Can any one give
me any advice on how to get it into the 2003 version? I'm wondering if it has
something to do with the codecs on each machine, or if I should compress
the movies into another format...

Thanks so much!

When you say .m1v do you mean that is the file extension?
Normally that is the extension for an MPEG1 video-only stream.
Is there an option in ffmpegx to save as a multiplexed .mpg file? (i.e. the
video and audio streams combined into one file)
Even if there is no audio on the clip you'll find PowerPoint more likely to
be happy with it.
