Try restarting your computer in safe mode,
then run CHKDSK /f again.

:
Right-click on the upper left corner of the cmd window
(on the little C:/ icon), and choose Edit -> Select All.
Then right-click on the same spot again, but this time
chose Edit -> Copy.
Then you should be able to paste what you just copied
in a post to this newsgroup.

I keep trying to paste the info that I got back from my CMD window but its
not showing up on here
:
Hello,
Sorry...the > is used in most newsgroups to indicate what you must do
next...the long format of this would be
1) Click START
2) Enter the word CMD and click OK
3) In the window that opens type the word CHKDSK followed by a space and
then a full colon and then the letter of the drive (possibly C) and then
click OK
What you do next will greatly depend on the final response from that
command. If you are told that there is a fault you will be offered the
opportunity of running the program again using the /F sub command...the
rest is as per my previous message.
If you are uncertain of what to do when given the reply from chkdsk....use
the options at the top of the CMD screen to copy the reply and post it in
here and I may be able to give more help
