I have inserted a wma movie file in Powerpoint. I want to show the movie
captions from the .smi file. I can do this from Windows Media Player. I can
not do this in Powerpoint. Any ideas?

Hi,

You'll need to run WMP from within PowerPoint instead of the movie. Create
an action button with the settings to Run Program and set it to:
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe fullpathmoviefilename".
When you click on it during the slide show it should open WMP and play the
movie.

I have a movie related question as well and you seem to know a lot.

I want to place a movie in the background that triggers after say 10
minutes in the slide master. If I do next or mouse click to advnace
the movie should not start. I only want it to trigger after som time,
for instance becasue I have walked away from the presentation.

I can do this by using hide while not playing, set a timer for 10
minutes, check of the mouse click action. But when I advance the
slide this still triggers the movie to start playing. Seems to me like
a bug or that I'm missing some configuraiton. Please help!
