I am having difficulties getting my movie to load on my project it tells me
video not available, cannot find 'vids:mjpg' decompressor. I have no clue
what that means. I recorded about 2 mins on my camera and that is what I am
trying to use.

that site shows exact what I should do but I am not sure how to change the
extension and the name

Hi

I'm not really a multi-media expert but:
Can you download a different format from your camera?
Read Austin's tutorial: http://www.playsforcertain.com/tutorial.htm
Try here for conversion help: http://www.videohelp.com/convert#4;13
Sonia's article seems to imply you can just rename the extension but I can't
see that working - if you want to give it a go ctrl+drag the avi file in
windows explorer to create a copy of it then right click -> rename file.

Good luck!

If you want to try renaming first make sure that you can see the extension.
In windows explorer click Tools>Folder options > View and untick "Hide known
file extensions"

(Hi Mrs T BTW)

Lucy
see that working

I first found out about this trick a long time ago - I've not seen it NOT
Work for this error message
"cannot find 'vids:mjpg' decompressor"

It tends to be movie clips from a 'digital camera' that exhibit this error
in powerpoint. Renaming the file is by far the quickest fix.

cheers

Thanks TAJ - I thought changing video formats was more complex than that. But
now I know :-)
