movermaker wont recognize camera

Ok, here is a question you will probably think is stupid. I have a Canon ZR65. With the software that came with the camera, I can download pictures with no problem. But when I try to download from the tape to MovieMaker, Windows XP doesn't recognize the camera. Do I need different drivers or what?

Richard I have one also, need to install WIA driver on
the cd for zr65mc, i have had mine working but right noe
it will capture dv-avi ok but will not capture in wmv
mode so i can get a small file size to emaul. It just
says unknown error. Hope this helps.
