Hi,

We just moved our DHCP Server from the DC to a newly promoted DC and ips are
not being assigned to the client machines. Anyone has an idea?

Thanks

Hello,

Your clients may be trying to contact the DHCP server at the old IP
address looking for a lease. Try using a DHCP relay agent to the new
DHCP server.

Hi,

Are the clients on the same subnet as the new DHCP server? If not configure
your routers bootp software to use the new DHCP server.
Is the DHCP scope on the new server active? Is the DHCP server authorized?
What errors do the clients receive? What events related to DHCP are there
on the server?

Thanks,
