Hi,

I have to move my old SBS2000 server on a new different hardware.
Is it possible or I have to reinstall my server ?

e.g. : in general what is the procedure to follow when I move a win2k
installation from a system with an EIDE disk to a system with a RAID
controller ?

Could works fine the following procedure ?

- Install only the new raid controller driver on the old server
- Install win2k on the new server on an alternate directory (e.g. c:\win2k)
- Restore from a tape the full backup of the old server
- Restart the new server from the win2k installation present on c:\winnt

Thanks,

Michele L.

Close except you install in the same directory not not a different
directory name.
