I want to move/copy Word 97 to drive D along with various files; then I want
to FORMAT drive C. I don't to lose any files that may not be in the Word
folder.

Ideas, etc. apreciated, Irv

Moving applications is highly precarious. I would NEVER attempt it. If you
don't have the installation CDs, don't ask us how to get around it. Sorry.
If you want to back up all Word-related files, do a search for the
following, and copy to D:

*.doc, *.dic, *.dot, *.acl

Hope this helps!

Hi Irv

There's a utility called COA32 (stands for "Change of Address") that
you can get from http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,7822,00.asp. It
will relocate Windows programs and fix up the registry entries so they
still work.

The PC Mag utilities used to be freebies, but now you have to pay a
little. You can get up to three downloads for a one-time $9.97, or
sign on for various periodic billing options.

If you Google a bit, you may find a similar utility that's really
freeware.
