move vista to a new pc

i got vista business from msdnaa because im a cs student in college.. and i
originally installed it on my laptop but it doesnt work very well on it
because my laptop doesnt have a very good video card.. i activated it on my
laptop also... and i want to transfer it to my desktop which has much better
specs... but i tried activating from my desktop and it wont let me because
the key is already in use... ive formatted my laptop and returned it to the
OEM xp home os.... how do i unregister that key with my laptop so i can use
it on my desktop?
