I've noticed that when clicking (highlighting) a file and attempting to move
it to another folder is not possible, unless I am missing something. IOWs,
when the file is selected (highlighted), I could choose on the window menu
bar (as in an XP window), file then "move to folder" (as well as having
other options). The only thing I can do is:

- Open another window to the directory I want and then drag the item there
or,
- Copy and paste it browsing to the directory I want.

Am I missing something, or is this no longer available, which I think is
needed?

If the other folder is visible in the folders list you drag it to the folder
there.

Yes, if I am in the same window, and "that particular" folder is there (if
that folder is the option I want), then that is possible. I am talking
another total directory, whether it is on the same drive, or on another
physical drive (of which I have two). For example, when I have a file in My
Documents, and I want to save it to my F: Drive (which is a separate
physical drive where I keep my extra files in case of whatever), I cannot do
the move to that folder. I can only do what I mentioned in my OP.

I don't have any trouble doing this. I just collapse and expand things in
the left pane until what I want is there. D this by just clicking the
triangle in front or the drive or folder, not on the name.

Hello,

You can access Move to Folder like this:

- Select your file
- Press ALT to activate the hidden menu
- click Edit
- Click Move to Folder

- JB
