The rule will only set up as client only if the selected folder the mail is
moving to is located in a .pst file. If you are moving to a folder that is
located in the mailbox on the Exchange server then it should be created as
a server side rule.
I hope this information is helpful.

I have a rule on my Exchange server (not client-only) to move messages
from a certain address to a specific mail folder and the rule works great.
The problem is that when an email arrives that is processed by this rule, I
am not notified that a new email has arrived. Is there a way around this?
I do not want the rule to be setup as client-only, because I check my
account from two different computers and OWA from time to time.
Thank you,
Michael
