Hello EveryBody,

How can I move the complete "C:\Documents and Settings" to the "C:\Documents
and Settings" ?? This way I can greate a Partion Image of the C:\ and copy it
back whenever Windows XP Pro SP2 is failing again cause of Ad-ware, Virusus
and other Junk...

I copied already the WHOLE "Documents and Settings" to the D:\ but when I
try to set all registerkeys the D:\ they all automaticly change back in C:\
!!!!

Know somebody the answer??

This may help, make sure you look at the section moving the entire folder.

Hi William,

The last part of that KB I did try, but didn't worked out for me... Maybe
because a brand new intallation of WinXP Pro SP2??! I don't know, because it
worked out before...

But the first part of this KB was very intresting!!

-------------------------------------------------------------
"RESOLUTION
To specify a different folder for the Documents and Settings folder during
installation, follow these steps: 1. Run Winnt.exe or Winnt32.exe by using
the /unattend option, and then insert the following entry into the
Unattend.txt file, where z:\foldername is the path and folder name you want:
[GuiUNattended]
ProfilesDir = z:\foldername
2. Install Windows. The path that you included in the Unattend.txt file is
used instead of the default Documents and Settings folder."
-------------------------------------------------------------

Only I do not understand it quite well...
When I preform a new installation of Windows XP I start the installation
from the Windows CD-ROM and go trough the installation-wizzard.

How can I make such changes as (for me, poor) described in this KB??

ThX very much!!!

Edgar
