In a Windows 2000 AD Domain what is the best way to move
shares from one domain controller to another? Windows
Small Business server has a tool does Windows 2000 server
have any tools other than DFS?
 
If you want to migrate shares and retain permissions (sharing and NTFS) you
can do so using the article below (it is mostly still applicable, with the
possible exception that the NTFS permissions may only work using
SUBINACL.EXE for newer OS's):
