I am using VProfessor but it only goes to PP2003. The current lesson is
instructing me to use the demote/promote keys (using an outline pane that's
not in 2007) to move text up or down. I need to move a sentence from slide
two to slide four using the promote key. Are there up/down arrows in 2007?
These are called the demote/promote keys using the outline pane in 2003. Hope
this is clear. Thank you.

What Echo said, and you'll find the Promote and Demote options in the Home
tab of the Ribbon.

Try right-clicking in the Outline pane.

Otherwise, you can add them to the QAT using Office Button | PPT Options |
Customize. (Change the list to select from "all commands.")
