Hi everybody,

I have a Windows 2000 Forest with many domains
All DNS zones are AD integrated.

Now, i need to move a zone (and all its records) from the AD domain YY.XX.
to the domain XX.

Is it possible, and if yes, how ?

Thanks for your help

Pat

Set that zone to allow zone transfers to another DNS server, then create a
secondary of the zone on the DNS server you are allowing zone transfers to.
Once you have to zone transferred, you can change it to a primary, or just
leave it as a secondary. If you change it to a primary, you'll need to edit
the NS records and SOA record to reflect the new primary DNS server's name.

I guess if you wanted something harder to do so you can pad the time clock
you could start with a new zone and manually add the records. :-)
